Hats off to Ambrose Claybar and his classic gray 1965 Pontiac GTO. He showed the car at the 28th Annual GTO Association of America International Meet in late June.
Competing against 307 other cars in Worthington, OH, he and his restored Pontiac GTO walked away with “Best of Show”. According to an excellent article by Erik Onstott of the Orange Leader, Ambrose also won Concourse Best of Show – besting a field of 65 GTOs.

A neat tidbit on the show car: it has 34 options (tilt steering, AM/FM stereo, and 389 cubic inch V8 with three two-barrel carburetors…) and saw its first service as a company car for a Houston Pontiac executive.

Way to go, Ambrose!
