Google Android and, to a lesser extent, the LG KS20 HSDPA have kicked up some major news in the last few days in the gadget universe. So what is all of the fuss about?
Google has been rumored to be on the verge of announcing some sort of a phone for weeks now. The reality: Google is actually on the verge of releasing details about a phone operating system that it has developed.Â
While this may disappoint those that wanted another iPhone-esque market shakeup, the Google Android is still a cool concept. Essentially, the Google Android involves turning Linux into a mobile operating system. Furthermore, it appears that the Google Android will be a greater rival to Microsoft than to Apple when the dust settles.Â
Google Android shows that Google is sees the future in much the same way that Apple does. That is, they believe consumers will continue to look to their mobile phones for more computing capabilities and increased Internet browsing.Â
Creating far less buzz was the release of the LG KS20 HSDPA. Ironically, the LG KS20 HSDPA is actually a mobile phone! The LG KS20 HSDPA boasts touch-screen technology and a look that is very similar to the iPhone. It will be initially released in Germany and France, followed by the rest of Europe and then the United States.Â
The LG KS20 HSDPA boasts a 2.8 inch 240×320 pixel color touch screen, MP3 player, WiFi and 2MP camera.Â
While these mobile marvels are expected to dominate the smaller gadget market for the upcoming holiday season, prognosticators are wondering what will dominate the big gadget market. No doubt, the typical players will be involved: boats, jewelry, exotic cars, etc.Â
But what if you want to access these big ticket items without the cost and hassle of ownership? In the exotic car realm, consider joining an exotic car club. These clubs can be found throughout the country and allow members to access a fleet of exotic and luxury cars for far less than the cost of owning a single true exotic. The best part: membership delivers driving fun without the burdens of ownership. It’s simple to find an exotic car sharing club in your city with an online exotic car club directory such as www.exoticcarclubs.com.Â
One of these clubs, DFW Elite Car Club, is a Dallas-based car club that features a large inventory on automobiles and offers a tiered membership program which allows members to select the right amount of fantasy car driving. This exotic car club video explains more about the club. The Robb Report Collection recently published an excellent article with more on how these clubs work and profiles of a few of the nation’s top exotic car clubs.
If short-term access to an exotic car is more your speed, you could just rent an exotic automobile for a day or two. Rentexoticcars.net is an excellent directory of businesses around the country that rent exotic cars. DFW Elite Auto Rental services the demands of those in North Texas who need access to a large inventory of exotic rental cars and even boasts Internet specials.Â
Finally, for the ultimate exotic car experience, car tours are a great idea. These tours allow participants to cruise through various destinations in several exotic cars. Las Vegas, New York, and Chicago all have exotic car tours. In Texas, DFW Drive Your Dream has tours throughout the state that last around eight hours. Participants are given the choice between several different car packages. See this video for more information on how exotic car tours operate.Â
