Fabio Vs. Clooney: The Automobile Showdown

According to an article in the New York Post, as George Clooney and girlfriend Sarah Larsen dined at Los Angeles restaurant Medeo on Friday, former model Fabio sat at a nearby table with a group of female admirers.  The women at Fabio’s table began taking photos of the model, who has graced the covers of thousands of romance novels. 

Eyewitnesses recall that Clooney noticed the cameras and expressed concern that the photos were of him.  Fabio then explained that Clooney would not be in the photos and told him to “stop being a diva.”  The disagreement escalated into a shoving match that restaurant staff quickly diffused.

Since the responsible restaurant staff deprived us of seeing who would win this physical altercation, we must come up with some other way to compare the prowess of Clooney and Fabio.  Both men are wealthy and have access to some amazing automobiles, but which of them has the better garage? 

Fabio, who owns a Lamborghini Gallardo, similar to the one available for rent at DFW Elite Auto Rental, is an avid car and motorcycle collector.  According to an article in Smart Money, Fabio estimates his car and motorcycle collection to number over 200.  “I wake up in the morning, look in the garage and think, ‘Hmm, which one do I want to ride today?’” he told Smart Money. “Sometimes I pull three or four, and I’ll ride them all in one day.”

Clooney, on the other hand, also has an extensive car and motorcycle collection, but he drives a Tango T600, considered one of the most ecologically-friendly cars available for purchase.  An article by FoxNews.com reports, “Made of carbon fiber, the Tango weighs 3,057 pounds and can reach 60 mph in four seconds — with a top speed of 150 mph.”  Clooney has chosen high performance and low emissions for his daily transportation.
