It is probably official to reconstruct the statement of the “American Dream†to include some reference to taking the kids to Walt Disney World. After all, it almost seems as though you are an abusive parent if you don’t let your offspring mingle with various mice, dogs, and other members of the Disney menagerie while they try to digest corn dogs after riding a rollercoaster.Â
To this end, Disney appears to be ramping up its Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Vacation Club is essentially a timeshare that allows members to buy in and enjoy staying at up to 8 Disney Vacation Club resorts as well as many other sponsored properties around the world. Disney is adding a $110 million, 15-sory tower near the Magic Kingdom to its Disney Vacation Club portfolio. But for now, the company famous for its theme parks is mum on the details.
The Disney Vacation Club works on a flexible points system. This system allows members to choose from several different levels of membership, each level providing a different number of points per year. The member then chooses where and when to stay. The number of points used is determined by the property selected, the size of the room chosen, and the time of year (peak or off-peak). The draw of membership in the Disney club is that it allows families to take a wider variety of family-friendly vacations for far less money than they could if they chose to buy their own vacation properties or just booked traditional travel packages.Â
This sharing concept applies in other consumer areas as well. For example, many car enthusiasts would love to cruise the streets in a variety of cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, and BMW. Unfortunately, the cost of owning one exotic car, much less several, prohibits people from satisfying their urges to drive them all.Â
Enter exotic car sharing clubs such as DFW Elite Car Club (http://www.dfwelitecarclub.com) in Fort Worth, TX. These clubs allow members to the get the keys to a dream garage of the world’s finest classic and exotic cars clubs. Check out (http://www.exoticcarclubs.com) for a directory of car sharing clubs in cities across the United States. Even if you don’t live in Dallas-Fort Worth, chances are there is a car sharing club not far from you.
DFW Elite Car Club  operates in a way similar to Disney Vacation Club in that it allows members to choose from different tiers of membership with each tier offering its own level of points. Club members use the points like currency to reserve drive team in cars from the club’s exotic car garage. Check out video about DFW Elite Car Club.
Some may prefer to just get a quick fix for their exotic car needs.  This may be because they don’t want the commitment of an exotic car club or they just have a special occasion that needs just the right type of car (e.g. weddings or prom). These folks are best served by exotic car rental agencies (see www.rentexoticcars.net). DFW Elite Auto Rental (www.dfweliteautorental.com) is just such an agency. Renting exotic cars all over the state of Texas, DFW allows customers to choose from a large inventory of exotic cars perfect for all occasions. Additionally, the company allows online reservations and offers weekly car rental specials.Â
Finally, for the ultimate exotic car experience, many are turning to exotic car tours. These tours allow participants to take in some great scenery while driving several exotic cars back-to-back on a road route selected to allow tour participants to experience the full capabilities of each car. DFW Drive Your Dream (www.dfwdriveyourdream.com) operates exotic car tours all over Texas and allows participants to choose from several different exotic car tour routes. Furthermore, drivers can choose from several different exotic car lineups, each sporting five different cars.Â
