As my day draws to a close I escape into my world. Ahhh! a quiet moment. While getting caught up on the latest events an article catches my eye. “What Your Car Says About You”. This brings to mind what would my car say about me. Would it mention the time I didn’t wash it for a couple of weeks. Cars like words send messages about who we are. Dan Lienert of Forbes Auto did a little research on the messages that cars send. Is your luxury car just sending a message or is it sending the right message. General Motors (nyse: GM – news – people ), for example, says that Chevrolet Corvette drivers are “aggressive and in control,” and seek adventure. While a Ferrari says your passionate and racy. People who have driven Ferraris know the vehicles feel like racecars. They are all about technology, innovation, design and racing heritage. And lest you forget: Ferraris are Italian, which some say makes them sexier. The Corvette “represents freedom and what is best about America,” wrote Chevrolet spokesman Travis Parman . Seemingly similar cars can send out different messages, too. Consider two premier British luxury sedans, Bentley’s $210,000 Arnage and Rolls Royce’s $330,000 Phantom. With the Bentley being the understated heirloom and the Phantom demanding the attention wherever it goes. Dan is on to something with cars speaking out. I believe I’ll go now and have fun discovering the other messages cars send. What message is your wheels sending? Betcha don’t look at cars the same way again!
