Kind of an interesting idea. Video gives a really good showing of the car, and while the article seems skeptical, the video gives a really different and pleasing picture.
Italian design and American muscle might have worked for Rocky Balboa, but when it comes to cars it’s an odd combination. The debut of the Mustang by Giugiaro isn’t the first time the two have come together, however, as Giorgetto Giugiaro, founder of Giugiaro Design, fused the two to create the Bertone Mustang in 1965. It was an unusual take on a legendary car, and when the 2005 Ford Mustang debuted, Giorgetto and his son Fabrizio immediately saw another chance to apply their design expertise to another Mustang.
This time around, the work was done by Fabrizio, a noted fan of American performance cars and designer of the 2003 Corvette Moray concept. Completed in just four months, the younger Giugiaro sought to give this concept a unique look without losing the Mustang’s trademark design details.
The transformation started with a slightly wider body that adds an extra 30mm in front and 80mm in back. It’s enough to make you notice a difference, but it avoids the typical big-fendered look of most aftermarket kits. From there, Fabrizio gave this Mustang a much longer, lower profile thanks to an innovative panoramic roof built by a Detroit area supplier. It’s made from a special crystal that filters out 100 percent of UVA rays so you can enjoy unobstructed views without getting cooked.

Just what I need more power in my SUV!
STUTTGART, Germany — The next-edition Porsche Cayennes will receive a mild face-lift, as well as more powerful direct-gasoline-injection engines when they appear in showrooms starting in February.
Porsche says the powertrain enhancements will result in fuel savings of up to 15 percent under “real” driving conditions.
The base Cayenne gets a 40-horsepower boost and is now driven by a 290-hp 3.6-liter V6. The previous model had been equipped with a 3.2-liter V6. The torque on the base Cayenne has improved from 229 to 284 pound-feet. Acceleration time has improved, too. The previous model went from zero to 62 mph in 9.1 seconds; the new model goes from zero to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds and has a top speed of 141 mph.

Bugatti is moving ahead with plans for a new model to succeed the record-shattering, earth-moving, mouth-watering Veyron supercar. That’s what Thomas Bscher, chief of the Volkswagen AG subsidiary, contends, despite reported efforts by Porsche to derail the über-ultra-super-duper-premium-luxury carmaker.
Here we assume Bscher’s not talking about the upcoming targa variant of the Veyron, but a completely new model. We can expect that whether it’s a front-engined touring coupe, a CLS-style four-door coupe or a super-luxury saloon, the next Bugatti will share a great deal of the mechanicals with the Veyron so as to defer further development costs and better utilize the enormous amount of resources that went into the supercar.
