Crashed Astons get to live another day

A CRASH repair service is being set up at an Aston Martin workshop in County Durham.

The Aston Workshop, in Beamish, has invested £500,000 in a paint and body centre to repair and restore crash-damaged Aston Martins.

The equipment also enables mechanics to restore new models and old classics.

Owner Bob Fountain said: “In the event of an accident, it is important to ensure that the company tasked with repairing your car is conversant with Aston Martins and will know how to return it to its original pristine condition.”

More than 50 per cent of the company’s sales come from overseas, with a large proportion from the US, Europe and Asia.

The workshop arranges for cars to be transported to the North-East for repair from all over the world.

Mr Fountain says the firm’s website, aston.co.uk is the second most visited site after Aston Martin’s own, and attracted 250,000 visitors last year.

The workshop, which also specialises in the sourcing and sales of Aston Martins, was founded in 1988 by Aston enthusiast Mr Fountain.

Here’s an answer for the Aston owners here in the states.  Thank You Aston Martin for the provision of giving life back to Aston.  I do so enjoy a drive in an Aston Martin and DFW Elite Auto Club provides this satisfaction without the expense of owning.
