COWBOY FANS HAVE DALLAS COWBOYS NEW STADIUM TO LOOK FORWARD TO

Another year, another disappointing season’s end for Dallas Cowboys fans.  What promised to be an eventful, and elongated trip through the 2007 NFL playoffs was cut drastically short by a divisional round loss to the New York Giants at Texas Stadium. 

On the bright side, the Cowboys’ faithful can look forward to being one step closer to never have to sit in a freezing/scorching/dilapidated Texas Stadium ever again.  This is, of course, because of the new stadium that is set to open prior to kick-off for the 2009 season. 

The Dallas Cowboys new stadium is anticipated to cost $1 billion, of which the owner billionaire Jerry Jones is apparently kicking in $300 million of his own money to help complete.  The Cowboys new stadium will feature a retractable roof and accommodate 80,000 to up to 100,000 screaming fans.  Additionally, the venue will be able to modify to accommodate many different types of audiences (e.g. concerts, etc.). 

So far no formal name has been selected for the Dallas Cowboys new stadium, but it is affectionately, or not so affectionately, referred to as Jerry World.  One thing is for sure, once the official opening of the stadium arrives, you won’t want to miss the fanfare that Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones will roll out to commemorate the event.
