What did Missouri ever do to the football gods to deserve such a fate? One week they are ranked #1 and playing for the right to participate in the BCS Championship game. The next week they’re out of the BCS bowl picture altogether. To add insult, the Big XII School receiving the other BCS slot (Oklahoma gets the automatic bid as Big XII champion) is a Kansas team that Missouri just beat!
Oh well, such are the travails of a college football team in today’s world. So instead of the high profile and large payout of a BCS Bowl, Missouri gets an invitation to the Cotton Bowl. Missouri’s opponent for the New Year’s Day Bowl is an Arkansas team that, in many ways, is headed in the opposite direction. After yet another lack-luster year (one that resulted in head coach Houston Nutt’s firing), the Razorbacks finished by beating LSU in dramatic fashion to climb high enough to receive a Cotton Bowl birth.Â
Cotton Bowl Tickets are for sale at $90 each, and all seats are reserved. Both schools traditionally travel well, but the 72,000 seat Cotton Bowl should hold all those college football fans wishing to attend. Missouri alums can call 1-800-CAT-PAWS for tickets or visit www.mutigers.com.Â
Despite the down mood of the Missouri fans heading into the Cotton Bowl, there is cause to celebrate a strong season. Fans should do something special to memorialize the trip to Dallas. A great way to add something to the usual road trip: rent an exotic sports car for the weekend in Dallas. DFW Elite Auto Rental(www.dfweliteautorental.com) serves the metro Dallas area with over 50 exotic rental cars and offers daily internet luxury car rental specials.Â
Another option would be to take an exotic car tour while in Dallas for the big game. DFW Drive Your Dream (www.dfwdriveyourdream.com) offers full day fantasy car driving tours in Dallas and in other cities such as Houston.  Check out these videos of past tours to see how much fun car aficionados have on these tours:

Finally, don’t be surprised if your brush with automotive greatness leaves you wanting more. If that’s the case, an exotic car club may be right for you. These clubs allow members to drive some exotic cars without the expense and hassle of ownership. www.exoticcarclub.com is a popular online directory of exotic car sharing clubs nationwide. In Dallas, DFW Elite Car Club (www.dfwelitecarclub.com) gives its members with the keys to a garage of over forty exotics. Check out this video for more information: http://youtube.com/watch?v=E3Kd8z3m7_4
