CLEVELAND AUTO SHOW GIVES CHEVY CHANCE TO SHOW COBALT AND CORVETTE

The automobile industry, like many other aspects of society, is on a green binge.  Nowhere is this more evident than on the showroom floors of various auto shows around the country and the Cleveland Auto Show is no different.

But just like the somewhat fickle market it serves, the auto industry still likes to flex its muscle.  This is exactly what Chevrolet has done at the Cleveland Auto Show.

Specifically, Chevrolet showcased a high-performance Cobalt and a special series Corvette.  The Cobalt features a 260-hp 2.0L engine that will thrill the driver all while providing enough luxury features to make the journey comfortable.

While the Cobalt is probably aimed more at the younger market, the 427 Special Edition Corvette Z06 harkens back to the golden days of the Corvette.  Borrowing stylings from the ’67 model, the Corvette even comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Speed fans who want to grab one may have to refer to the old adage, “if you have to ask…”  This is why many exotic car fans are turning to exotic car clubs.  By joining an exotic car club, members get to drive the cars they’ve always dreamed of, without incurring the expense and trouble of owning and maintaining them.  DFW Elite Car Club (www.dfwelitecarclub.com) is an exotic car club in Dallas/Fort Worth that allows members to share a dream garage of exotic and classic cars.

Most of the attendees of shows like the Cleveland Auto Show really want only one thing. A change to step past the velvet rope and get the show’s sports cars out on a lonely stretch of highway. Tapping into this car lover’s fantasy, the folks at DFW Elite Drive Your Dream created fantasy car driving tours.

These tours are like walking into a car show, picking out five of your favorite cars, and driving them around all day.  DFW Drive Your Dream (www.dfwdriveyourdream.com) offers several exotic car tour routes throughout Texas that feature rides like the Ferrari F430 and 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo.  These exotic car tours last eight hours long and include a stop for lunch.
