A British man is among nine people arrested by police who also seized more than £1.5 million worth of luxury cars in a cross-Europe “Cannonball” road race.
The unidentified man was at the wheel of a brand new £132,000 Aston Martin DB9 which was stopped for alleged speeding at more than 120mph.
Swiss officers also pulled over six Chinese drivers, an American and a Canadian in the swoop and impounded the cars, all top performance sports cars.
They included another DB9, four Lamborghini Murciélagos, a Ferrari F430 Spider, a Ferrari 599 Fiorano and a Audi R8.
