Blondie Goes for a Ride

Fasten your seatbelts, Blondie is about to take you on one wild ride! There’s nothing I like more than strong solid machines and speed! And that’s what I got this past Saturday at DFW Drive Your Dream 2500 HP event in Houston.

Drive Your Dream was created to fulfill every car lover’s fantasy. Have you ever dreamed of driving a Ferrari or Bentley…they will make your dream a reality. All you have to do is sign up for one of their tours and you have a chance to drive some of the most exotic and luxurious machines.

I had the privilege of going on one of their tours. I went on the 2500 HP event in Houston. We started in Houston and then drove on the back roads to Brenham, where we made a pit stop and had a delicious lunch at Ernie’s. Then we continued through Hill Country and ended our journey back in Houston.  I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall day. It was cool and crisp, leaves were falling and we could put the tops down and my hair could blow in the wind! Heavenly!

There were 10 of us on the tour and we split off into pairs. Each of us got to drive all five cars for ½ hour.

Now for the goodies. Here’s a look at what I got behind the wheel of. Don’t get too jealous.

A Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley GT, BMW M6, Corvette Z06 and Ferrari F430. Ok, now you can get green with envy. 

Todd was my co-driver and a good one and that.

So which of these was my favorite? I narrowed it down to 2.

For an every day car I choose the Bentley GT. 

Oh so J-LO. I figure I can drive through Starbucks with that one and fit my golf clubs and shopping bags in the back.
 

And now for my ultimate favorite…

The Lamborghini Gallardo or as all the boys called it that day the LAMBO! Yup, that’s me driving! 

What a machine. It is my Italian Stallion. I’m serious ladies once you get behind the wheel of this bad boy there’s no looking back. To hear the engine purr…makes my heart skip a beat. And the paddle shifting makes it possible to wear those high heels. And it shifts from gear to gear so smoothly. I’m telling you I don’t need a boyfriend I need this. It does everything right, let’s me be in control when I want to, and takes me for a nice ride! Need I say more?!
