Bentley Continental GT Breaking records even on ice.

Bentley Continental GT fastest on land and on the ice. Everyone is familiar with the Bentley Continental GT, if not then simply picture a car with all the stops pulled out and you will have a vague conception of what the designers were going for when they built the car. Wikipedia claims that “In early 2007 a Bentley Continental GT driven by 4 times World rally champion Juha Kankkunen broke the World Speed Record on Ice on the frozen Baltic sea near Oulu, Finland. It averaged 321.6km/h or 199.86MPH in both directions on the “flying kilometer”, reaching a maximum speed of 331km/h or 207MPH.” This new land speed record is the fastest any car has traveled on ice. The setup used in the land speed record was designed and tuned for lower temperatures, including changes to the type of fuel suspension and tires with spikes. The previous holder of this record was the Bugatti Veyron another amazing super car produced by Volkswagen. Now that the land speed record for traveling on ice has been broken the team that made the Veyron will have to answer back, we shall see if they do.

About Davey

Straight shooter and a square dealer, I represent Texas as it is the best state in this fine union. I feel a man should live by his word and we should all try a little harder to make this experience called life more tolerable/bearable for everyone. I am a certified Ninja, on occasion I find it most enjoyable to smash wooden boards with my fists. Sometimes I ride my 93 GSX-R Moto-GP * 1 cause it goes fast like low thirteen’s in the quarter mile.
