A little off the beaten path for the exotic car rental blog, but I must admit that I have a pretty keen interest in the marketing of luxury car brands…
Land Rover’s ad agency apparently has a campaign for the LR3 that includes taking it to disaster sites and filming it in the role of ‘hero car’.
I can appreciate that they want to show their product is durable, dependable, but I think that is in pretty bad taste.

Still, I would love to drive one and may have to make a point to rent a Land Rover in Dallas on my next weekend getaway!
What do you think? Is it just smart Land Rover marketing or really bad taste? Even though Land Rover donates vehicles and money to disaster relief, I don’t like it.
