Aston Martin closes car plant
Motor Trader reports Aston Martin halted production at their Newport Pagnell plant last week. Ending a 50 years of car making at this plant. The Vanquish S Ultimate Edition was the last model to be built at the factory as full production will switch to the Gaydon, Warwickshire plant.
Motor Trader reports “The luxury marque will retain a presence in Newport Pagnell through its Works Service Department, which offers servicing, restoration and enhancement of Aston Martins and sees more than 2,000 current and historic cars through its doors annually.”
I find it interesting that it was the Gaydon Plant that threatened strike. Why? production closure of at Newport. Hmmm…. really doesn’t make a lot of business sense to me. Some other relevant stories by Motor Trader on Aston Martin:
